Out Of The Fullness Of The Heart The Mouth Speaks!

We're channels & tools in His hand!"Open your mouth," the Bible says, "and He will fill it." (Psa.81:10) But where does He fill it from? He fills it from your heart. If you have filled your heart beforehand, if you're full of the Spirit, if you're full of His Love, His Spirit & knowledge of His Word, the message you want to get across to others, when you open your mouth He'll fill it, right out of your heart! It just rolls out by inspiration.God doesn't expect you to do it. All He expects you to do is yield to Him, then He will do it through you. When you turn on a water faucet, the faucet is not doing the work! It's the power from outside that causes the water to flow effortlessly through the faucet! The faucet is just the channel, just the hole, to let the water flow out! That's the secret!If you're full of the Spirit, full of prayer, full of the Lord, full of the Word, then you can just let it roll! Ask God to turn you on & it will flow! You'll be amazed, it will be beautiful!

ALGERIA
Christian Sentenced for Carrying a Bible - Compass Direct NewsOn April 29, a court in Djilfa, south of Algiers, charged a 33-year-old Muslim convert to Christianity with "printing, storing and distributing" illegal religious material. According to Compass Direct News, "An Algerian Christian detained five days for carrying a Bible and personal Bible study books was handed a 300-Euro (US $460) fine and a one-year suspended prison sentence." Compass reported this conviction was the latest in numerous detentions and court cases against Algerian Christians. "Since January, police and provincial officials have ordered the closure of up to half of the country's estimated 50 Protestant congregations," Compass Direct said. The 33-year-old Algerian Christian converted from Islam to Christianity eight years ago. On April 25, he was stopped at a police road block while riding in a shared taxi. Compass Direct added, "Officials took the convert into custody upon finding a Bible and several religious study books in his luggage. Police appear to have previous knowledge of the Christian's connections. Officers refused to let the convert call friends to let them know of his detention, naming a church member in Tiaret whom they claimed he would contact." Pray believers in Algeria will remain faithful despite persecution. Ask God to protect and give courage to this Algerian Christian who is standing for Christ. Psalm 37:28

Pray for Believers Affected by the Cyclone and Earthquake - VOM SourcesThe Voice of the Martyrs is encouraging believers to pray for those affected by the cyclone in Burma (Myanmar) and the earthquake in China. Pray God will comfort Christians who have been displaced and lost loved ones during these natural disasters. Ask Him to provide for them during this difficult time and for the Holy Spirit to be their comforter. Isaiah 61: 1-3

Pastor's Son Recovering after Bomb Attack - VOM SourcesPraise God! Amiel Ortiz, the teenage son of Messianic Pastor David Ortiz, is recovering after he was seriously injured when a bomb delivered to the family's home in the Jewish settlement went off in his hands. According to The Voice of the Martyrs contacts, Amiel's father reports, "We checked out of the Schneider Children's Hospital last week after a six-week stay, eight days in the ICU and the rest on the children's floor. Ami received excellent care from the doctors and nurses in that hospital, but in response to prayer from the four corners of the earth, Ami has been healing at a rate that is extraordinary The plastic surgeon that worked on Ami said that in his 15 years of experience, he had never seen such extensive wounds. He said he has at least 100 pieces of shrapnel in his body from his head to his feet, which his body is slowly bringing up under the surface of the skin, which will come out by themselves." Pray for Amiel's continued recovery as he has transitioned into a rehabilitation center. Pray specifically for both eardrums to be restored, for him to regain use of his hands and arms, and healing for the burns and scars on his body. Also for the emotional healing for Amiel and his family, and for those responsible for the attack to be brought to justice. Ask God to give this family strength to forgive their attackers. 1 Corinthians 1: 3-5

VIETNAM
Government Officials Confiscate Evangelist's Home - Compass Direct NewsGovernment officials in Vietnam's Lao Cai province have confiscated the land and home of a former opium addict because of his phenomenal success as an evangelist. According to Compass Direct News, "Local Christians report Sua Yinh Siong of Lau Chai village, in Sapa district in the Northwest Mountainous Region, had long been a desperate opium addict, leading to destitution for him and his family. In 2004, after becoming a Christian, Siong broke from his addiction and his animistic past, taking down paraphernalia for ancestor worship and other spirit-related articles and burning them. His joy over his liberation soon spread to others, and eventually more than 200 families also decided to follow Christ." The Compass report added, " Earlier this month, Siong told other Christian leaders that government harassment had reached a crisis point - in April, local and provincial officials had confiscated his land, citing ‘illegal religious activities.' In the first few days of this month, Siong said officials evicted him from his home and threatened to destroy it." Pray for protection for Siong and his family and for their land and home to be returned. Ask God to use his testimony to draw more nonbelievers into fellowship with Him. Philippians 4:13

As God's children, we're supposed to be advocates of the Truth. If there's anything Christians are supposed to have, it's the truth, & if people catch you in just one little lie, they'll never trust you about anything anymore!This is the punishment of a liar: He is not believed even when he speaks the truth. In almost any court of law, if the witness lies about only one thing, even if 99% of what he said is the truth, he has lied & thereby disqualified himself from being a witness, & they throw out his entire testimony. Every person you witness to is a little judge examining your every word, & if they catch you in one lie it's going to discredit your whole testimony! If you lie about one little thing, people will assume you could be guilty of much greater things!What does God's Word have to say about liars? "Be sure your sins will find you out! Whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap!" (Gal.6:7) Lying is just not right! God doesn't like it & the person you're lying to doesn't like it! So for God's sake speak the truth!--It is a part of your good witness & your testimony of "honesty with them that are without"! (1Th.4:12)--Amen?

South Africa with their xenophobia

THIS IS SOUTH AFRICA !!!! ARE THEY HUMAN OR WHAT? SURELY THEY FORGOT WHERE THEY CAME FROM !!
Residents laugh as foreigner burns in his own blanketsAs we made our way through the Ramaphosa squatter camp in Reiger Park on Gauteng 's East Rand , a woman's words made us freeze in horror. "They are burning people down there," she said.
I ran to the nearest police officer and said: "The locals say they're burning a person at the other intersection."Officers leapt into a Casspir and a Nyala, and drove through the debris and barricades in the road.I ran after them, with other photographers following.Two hundred metres down the road we found the first man. He had been severely beaten and was semi- conscious. Police thought he was dead, but later realised he wasn't.
About 25m from him a man was on his knees. There was a mattress covering him, and it was on fire.He, too, was alight.Police threw the mattress off him and kicked sand onto him to put out the flames. Another officer ran over with a fire extinguisher, pointed it at him and extinguished the flames. Other officers radioed for medical help.The man was alive, but barely. He groaned, but he could not speak.
It was all over in 20 seconds.There was a concrete pillar lying near him, splattered with blood. We can only imagine what was done to him before he was set alight.The police stayed with him until the paramedics arrived, doing what they could But residents gathered at the scene were laughing.Kim Ludbrook, a photographer, admonished them, and we reminded them this was human being and that what had happened was barbaric.
Still they laughed.The burn victim, whose name has not been released, died last night in hospital.
Sunday, Bloody Sunday
Man 'necklaced' in Reiger Park as marauding gangs hunt down foreigners in the streets Heavily armed police fought a ferocious battle across the greater Johannesburg area yesterday as xenophobia-related attacks spread like wildfire.
Since Friday, 12 people have been killed in attacks by rampaging South Africans trying to purge foreigners from informal settlements and central city districts in Johannesburg and the East Rand , following violence in the Alexandra and Diepsloot townships.By late afternoon marauding gangs roved Johannesburg 's streets setting alight shops owned by foreigners in Jeppestown, Cleveland and Malvern, and engaging in running battles with police. Earlier, mobs attacked foreigners in Hillbrow.
In perhaps the most vicious attack, a man was "necklaced" in Reiger Park on the East Rand .Jody Kollapen, chairman of the Human Rights Commission, said such scenes were reminiscent of "the dark days of apartheid".The HRC will meet today to discuss the violence.One victim was a deaf mute who was attacked outside the Central Methodist Church in Johannesburg . Known only as "Tarro", the young man suffered a gash to his forehead at the hands of a mob.
Medical student Herbert Nedi tended to him and said the bewildered Tarro, who could only write his name and could not provide a surname, did not know what was happening around him."It was clear he did not have a clue what they [the mob] were talking about. He doesn't understand what is going on," said Nedi, as Tarro held a cloth to his head.At the church, next to the Johannesburg High Court, the situation was on a knife edge as hundreds of Zimbabweans and other foreigners prepared for the worst.They armed themselves with bricks, and a small police contingent had their work cut out as they vowed to protect themselves.
"Is this how you South Africans are going to treat foreigners when they come here for the World Cup?" asked one irate Zimbabwean, identifying himself only as Charles."
This is a s**t country. It's a shame to the rest of the world that they are allowing the World Cup to take place here. South Africans seem to think that no one's life is precious."David Mokone, 22, came to South Africa three weeks ago, seeking a job and a better life. The young man, tears welling in his eyes, sat outside the church as others scampered for weapons to defend themselves.
"It's better in my own country than it is here," he told The Times. "I would rather go back and die in Zimbabwe than be killed by South Africans," he said. Tony Maara, 30, said: "I have never been more frightened. I didn't go to work on Saturday because I was threatened. The world must take note of what is happening here." His sentiments were echoed by 25- year-old Brian Burayai of Zimbabwe .He said his brother was beaten up on Saturday when a group of Zulu-speaking men asked him if he knew the Zulu word for "elbow". When he could not answer, they started beating him."I thought I would be safe here because Mugabe is a serial killer. But these locals are just as bad," he said.
President Thabo Mbeki said a panel had been set up to look into xenophobic attacks.ANC president Jacob Zuma, speaking in Pretoria also condemned the attacks, saying: "We cannot allow South Africa to be famous for xenophobia. We cannot be a xenophobic country."In Jeppestown shop-owner Ntombi Mbokazi, 45, was in tears after thugs looted her clothing store.She cried as cops ordered her off the street. "Help me. they have taken everything!" she protested, but the public-order police were only interested in containing the violence.Throughout the day police sirens were heard across the city as police and Metro police raced from one scene to the next.Armed with a shotgun, a police inspector in Cleveland said: "It's getting worse. This thing is like a wildfire; just when you think you've contained one area you hear its erupted again in another." International aid organisation Medecins Sans Frontieres (Doctors Without Borders) described the situation as an imminent humanitarian crisis. Spokesman Eric Goemaere said the attacks were a crisis."I have been to many refugee camps and situations and this definitely is along those lines," he said.
The ANC government was warned!
Johannesburg - The Zimbabwe Exiles Forum (ZEF) warned the foreign and home affairs departments only a month ago that xenophobia in SA was getting out of control.Kicking foreigners out of homes and chasing them out of townships, even cases of assault and murder, were common.Hundreds of foreigners had been targeted in townships like Mamelodi, Soshanguve and Atteridgeville near Pretoria last month.In the Western Cape , xenophobic attacks also made headlines last year. Scores of Somalis, Congolese and Zimbabweans felt the wrath of local residents."The pattern of incidents give the impression that these were not isolated events but systematic and co-ordinated," warned Gabriel Shumba, executive director of ZEF in April."The reaction of police is cause for growing concern, as they claim they are either too scared to respond or are even complicit".
Alexandra and Diepsloot north of Johannesburg were the latest areas to experience xenophobic violence. Some reports said the violence had spread to Boksburg, Tembisa and Thokoza.ZEF programme director Ebbie Matsangaise said foreigners were given the blame for poverty and suffering found in SA's informal settlements and townships."Government has to start communicating better to make people aware of xenophobia and those council members who incite xenophobia have to be monitored".She said the violence in Alexandra started at a community meeting attended by 200 people."These are unemployed people, they just lie about. The hate they carry in their hearts is like simmering pot - it can boil over at any moment and spread all over. That is what happened after that meeting".
"This is war!"said Methodist church Bishop Paul Verryn, calling for a state of emergency to be declared and the army's help called in.
Verryn's plea came on Sunday after gangs targeted immigrants at the church in continuing attacks fuelled by xenophobia.At least 13 people have died, two by the necklace method, in attacks which have raged in Johannesburg 's city centre and across the East Rand and West Rand .An estimated 60 people were injured in the attacks, with attackers not sparing immigrants who were sheltering in the Central Methodist Church in the city centre.Verryn said the police had warned on Saturday that they should expect an attack even on the Central Methodist Church .Many Zimbabweans, Mozambicans, Ethiopians and Malawians have been regarding the church as a safe haven.Armed themselves with bricksThe atmosphere was tense after immigrants were assaulted outside the church on Sunday afternoon.Many immigrants armed themselves with bricks and feared the worst.Verryn said that, as a church leader, he could not encourage violence, but it was difficult to preach his high ideals when his life was not under threat."It would be a howling shame, a disgrace on this nation if an attack was launched on this church.""May God protect you," he said later to the immigrants.

PRIDE COMES BEFORE DESTRUCTION--lema mailing lists

Message One: If you puff yourself up you'll get the wind knocked right out of you.

Proverbs 16:18 says, "Pride goes before destruction, a haughty spirit before a fall." This principle can be clearly seen in the life of King Nebuchadnezzar, the King of Babylon, by examining Daniel chapter 4.King Nebuchadnezzar started out praising God and giving Him the credit: "It is my pleasure to tell you about the miraculous signs and wonders that the Most High God has performed for me. How great are his signs, how mighty his wonders! His kingdom is an eternal kingdom; his dominion endures from generation to generation" (Daniel 4:2-3). Here, Nebuchadnezzar is humble.However, over the course of a year, something happened that caused the king to begin to take credit for his circumstances: "As the king was walking on the roof of the royal palace of Babylon, he said, 'Is not this the great Babylon I have built as the royal residence, by my mighty power and for the glory of my majesty?' " (Daniel 4:29-30, italics added). Nebuchadnezzar is no longer giving God credit. Instead, he is full of pride and is puffing himself up.However, as is always the case, "Pride goes before destruction." So, God punished Nebuchadnezzar by sending him out to live like a wild animal for seven years (See Daniel 4:31-33).Then, Daniel 4:34 records the king's response: "At the end of that time, I, Nebuchadnezzar, raised my eyes toward heaven, and my sanity was restored." Interestingly, the king said that his pride caused him to lose his sanity and that now, as a result of being humbled by God, his sanity was restored. In order to humble him, God humiliated him. Indeed, a humiliating experience will almost always humble someone.The chapter concludes with Nebuchadnezzar's reflection: "Now I, Nebuchadnezzar, praise and exalt and glorify the King of heaven, because everything he does is right and all his ways are just. And those who walk in pride he is able to humble" (Daniel 4:37).

Message Two:Are you so busy working for God that you never spend any time with God?

It is easy to justify doing good works for God as a substitute for spending real, intimate, quality, personal time with God. For example, a youth pastor may spend many hours planning events for kids—preparing the music, setting up the games, arranging the transportation, and even preparing a brief message. However, none of that is a substitute for spending personal time with God—reading the Bible, praying, seeking God's guidance, worshiping, and just sitting in His presence.Unfortunately, many people are often so caught up in other activities that we use them as an excuse for not spending time with God. Instead, they need to make a firm decision to put God first in our lives. For example, King David, who certainly had many opportunities to fill his time with other activities, knew that spending time with God is an absolute necessity—a vital need. In Psalm 27:4, he said that God was the most important thing in his life: One thing I ask of the LORD, this is what I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to gaze upon the beauty of the LORD and to seek him in his temple.Indeed, Jesus declared that if we seek God, he will take care of the rest of the things in our lives: "Seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well" (Matthew 6:33). In your life, put God first, and he will take care of "all these things." Follow David's example: make God the "one thing" you need. That way, you won't be so busy working for God that you never spend any time with God.

TD Jakes calls Christians back to Bible

It is never too late to turn back to the Word of God, according to renowned preacher Bishop TD Jakes.
Senior pastor of megachurch The Potter's House in Dallas, Jakes took thousands of Christians "back to the Bible" during a three-day conference over the weekend, urging believers to realise that now is the time to re-commit to Jesus Christ.
"It is because of the state of this world - natural disasters, personal failures, a sagging economy, injustices, and more - that we need to get back to the Bible," said Jakes, who was dubbed one of the country's 25 most influential evangelicals by Time magazine in 2005. "We need to go back to relying on the real, proven Word of God to draw strength from it, and to use it as our guide for day-to-day living.”
Jakes and other speakers at the weekend event conveyed a message that "now is the time for believers to hang on to God because that is the only way to survival", according to Ann Fields, media relations specialist at The Potter's House.
The messages were delivered at a time when many Christians are abandoning their faith. David Sanford, author of If God Disappears: 9 Faith Wreckers and What to Do About Them, says believers have lost faith in the Bible, the church and Christian beliefs, and now millions of Americans are exiting the church.
Jakes called on believers to return to the Bible.
“For thousands of years, the Bible has proven itself relevant. It is rich in instruction in how to live the peaceful, productive and righteous life that God designed for us. Yet, at times, even Christians have swayed from its teachings. Even we have been distracted by the headlines of this world," he said.
"But it’s never too late to turn back to the only thing that doesn’t change, to the only thing that is dependable and fixed, and that is the Word of God."
Jakes launched the Back to the Bible conference in 1983 in Montgomery, West Virginia, with some 80 people. The annual event began before the highly popular MegaFest, "Woman Thou Are Loosed" and "ManPower" conferences were introduced. Back to the Bible is considered the flagship event that has helped to define Jakes and his ministry.

From Homeless to Software Success

An entrepreneur Bob Williamson's personal turnaround led to the creation of his 180-employee, $26 million company
Accidental entrepreneur Bob Williamson, 61, is projecting his company, Horizon Software International, will hit $32 million in revenue this year.
Bob Williamson fled a broken home in Mississippi at age 17 to hitchhike around the country. He landed in Atlanta in 1970 at 24, homeless, broke, and addicted to heroin and methamphetamine. When he got a job there cleaning bricks for $15 a week, no one would have guessed that he would start a $26 million software company someday.
Successful businesses often spring from a combination of hard work and dumb luck, and Williamson credits both.
Not long after arriving in Atlanta, he was injured in a car wreck and spent months recovering in the hospital. While there, he read the Bible, converted to Christianity, and decided to straighten up his life. It wasn't easy: He had a criminal record, no college degree, and few job prospects.
"I was either going to commit suicide, which several of my friends had done, or I was going turn my life around," says Williamson, now chairman and chief executive officer of Horizon Software International, a 180-employee maker of software for food service systems used in schools, hospitals, and other institutions.

Kwa takribani week 2 sasa zimepita tangu Askofu Kakobe aanze kurusha series ya vipindi vya mahubiri yake yanayoelezea mapambo ya wanawake kama mawigi,rangi za kucha,kucha bandia,kujichubua, kujiremba kwa kuchonga kope na nyusi bandia na mambo yanayoendana na hayo.Alianza kwa kuwashambulia wale wanaopiga power na kuwaangusha watu, wale wanawakumbatia watu madhabahuni n.k.Mafundisho haya yameleta mgongano mkubwa wa kimawazo miongoni mwa wapentecoste nchini na ikumbukwe kuwa jambo hili si geni hapa nchini kwani miaka ya 70,80 na hata mwanzo mwa miaka ya 90 lilipigiwa kelele sana kiasi cha kuleta mgawanyiko mkubwa miongoni mwa wapendwa hapa nchini.
Kwa sasa jambo hili ni kama askofu Kakobe ameliibua upya na kuleta changamoto kubwa miongoni mwa jamii ya waaminio.

Nilikuwa Zanzibar kwa siku 2,3 hivi na jumapili nilipata Neema ya kuabudu katika kanisa la TAG Kariakoo hapo Zanzibar.Kwa kweli nilivyokuwa naifikira Zanzibar ilivyo ni tofauti kabisa.Kwanza nilidhani nitakuta kakanisa kadogo kabisa kwa namna tulivyozoea kuona makanisa ya vijijini.Lakini nilishangaa sana kukuta kanisa kubwa kabisa la TAG lililopo hapo Zanzibar katika kati ya mji likiwa nawashirika kwa haraka haraka kama 600 au 800 hivi.Kwa kweli wakrsito wa Zanzibar wamenibariki sana kwani watu wako serious na Mungu,uimbaji wa kumtukuza Mungu na sio wa maonyesho na usanii.Mahubiri ya kumjenga mkristo na kumfanya awe mwanafunzi na sio mahubiri ya maonyesho na mbwembwe.Kwa kweli kila kitu kilinibariki.Mungu ambariki sana Mch. wa kanisa hilo Pastor Kadanga.

Nilitamani nifanye nae mahojiano nae lakini muda wangu ulikuwa mdogo sana.

UNBELIEVABLE - Einstein's dismissal of God fetches huge sum

Jewish physicist Albert Einstein, winner of multiple Nobel prizes.


A letter in which Albert Einstein dismissed the idea of God as the product of human weakness and the Bible as "pretty childish" has sold at auction for more than 200,000 pounds ($400,000).

Bloomsbury Auctions said Friday that the handwritten letter sold to an overseas collector after frenetic bidding late Thursday in London.

The sale price of 207,600 pounds ($404,000) - including the buyer's premium - was more than 25 times the pre-sale estimate.

Bloomsbury did not identify the buyer, but managing director Rupert Powell said it was someone with "a passion for theoretical physics and all that that entails."

"This extraordinary letter seemed to strike a chord, and it gave a deep personal insight one of the greatest minds of the 20th century," Powell said.

The letter was written to philosopher Eric Gutkind in January 1954, a year before Einstein's death. In it, the Einstein said that "the word God is for me nothing more than the expression and product of human weaknesses, the Bible a collection of honorable but still primitive legends which are nevertheless pretty childish."

Einstein experts say the letter supports the argument that the physicist held complex, agnostic views on religion. He rejected organized faith but often spoke of a spiritual force at work in the universe.
Einstein's most famous legacy is the special theory of relativity, which makes the point that a large amount of energy could be released from a tiny amount of matter, as expressed in the equation EMC2 (energy equals mass times the speed of light squared).

The theory changed the face of physics, allowing scientists to make predictions about space and paving the way for nuclear power and the atomic bomb.

NANI KASEMA ROHO MTAKATIFU NI DHALIMU?


ANGALIZO: Habari hii nimechanganya lugha kwa makusudi ili kwa wale wasio fahamu kiswahili walao wapate kidogo cha kuambua na kuweza kuchangia.

Kama kuna somo adimu na kitu kigumu ambacho kimewachanganya walio-okoka na hata wasio-okoka ni pale mtu anapotajiwa habari za Roho Mtakatifu: Maswali mengi yameulizwa na yapo yaliyopata majibu ya moja kwa moja na yapo mengine mpaka kesho mtu hawezi kuelewa mpaka naye apitie experience hiyo ya Roho Mt.
Questions like: Holy Spirit
  1. What is it?
  2. What does it do?
  3. What is it's purpose?
  4. How do you all "identify" it?

If I may respond to above queries I would say the Holy Spirit is not an "it" but a He. He is part of the Trinity, God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. He is our helper, encourager, comforter, and strengthens us and illuminates our mind with the truth in the Bible.

John 15:26 "But I will send you the Counselor, the Spirit of Truth. He will come to you from the Father and will tell all about Me"

John 16:13 " When the Spirit of Truth comes, He will guide you into all truth. He will not be presenting His own ideas, He will be telling you what He has heard. He will tell you about the future. He will bring Me glory by revealing to you whatever He received from Me".

Sasa maswali mengi yapo hapa:

Wengi tumewasikia wakisema mwanzoni kwamba Bwana (kwa roho) amewaonesha lakini baadae utaja sikia haohao wakisema kwamba si kweli. Hivi ni kwa nini wengi wamemsingizia huyo Roho na kumfanya kuwa muhuri wa kuhalalishia matakwa yao?

Hebu tusaidiane hapa ndugu zangu na kuelimishana maana hizi ni zama za mwisho na maovu yameongezeka ikiwa ni pamoja na mafisadi wa kiroho!

FEED EACH OTHER!

A holy man was having a conversation with the Lord one day and said, "Lord, I would like to know what Heaven and Hell are like." The Lord led the holy man to two doors. He opened one of the doors and the holy man looked in. In the middle of the room was a large round table. In the middle of the table was a large pot of stew, which smelled delicious and made the holy man's mouth water. The people sitting around the table were thin and sickly. They appeared to be famished. They were holding spoons with very long handles that were strapped to their arms and each found it possible to reach into the pot of stew and take a spoonful. But because the handle was longer than their arms, they could not get the spoons back into their mouths. The holy man shuddered at the sight of their misery and suffering. The Lord said, "You have seen Hell." They went to the next room and opened the door. It was exactly the same as the first one. There was the large round table with the large pot of stew which made the holy man's mouth water. The people were equipped with the same long-handled spoons, but here the people were well nourished and plump, laughing and talking. The holy man said, "I don't understand." It is simple," said the Lord. "It requires but one skill. You see they have learned to feed each other, while the greedy think only of themselves."

UCHAWI UPO HATA BARABARANI - JE UNAOMBA UNAPOKUWA NJIANI?

Hebu soma ushuhuda huu na Bwana akubariki!

Mwaka 1991 Bwana alinijalia kupandishwa cheo kazini (field supervisor) huko Rakai District km 150 toka makao makuu ya kampuni yetu – Entebe, Uganda. Tulikuwa na madereva wengi na kitu ambacho sikujua ni kwamba kati ya hao wapo wawili waliojihusisha sana na mambo ya uchawi! Hawa hawakupenda mtu yeyote aendeshe magari waliyokabidhiwa na wala kupandishwa cheo juu yao. Siku hiyo nilikuwa na ratiba ya kutembelea mojawapo ya vituo vyetu na nikaazimia kutumia moja ya magari yaliyokuwa yakiendeshwa na hao ndugu – (Toyota Hilux D/cabin). Kitu ambacho sikufahamu ni kwamba dereva wa gari nililochukua hakufurahishwa na aliazimia moyoni kunimaliza. Akishirikiana na mwenzie walikwenda kwa mganga wa kienyeji – mchawi na wakafanya walichofanya kwenye gari hilo usiku huo.

Naliondoka Entebe saa tisa jioni nikielekea Kalisizo umbali wa km 145. Na kama kawaida yangu siwashi gari bila kuomba kwanza, hivyo nikaliitia jina la YESU kwa ajili ya ulinzi. Nalipofika Kitubulu kama km 4 barabara ya Entebe – Kampala naligundua kuna kitu cha tofauti. Badala kuendesha nikiwa upande wa kushoto, gari lilikuwa likinivuta kwenda upande wa kulia. Kidogo nigongane uso kwa uso na gari jingine upande wa pili. Tatizo nalidhani ni upepo kwenye matairi hivyo naliamua nipite kituo cha mafuta ili kupima kama uko sawasawa na kisha niendelee na safari yangu. Nikiwa barabarani ile hali ikajirudia tena, naliliitia jina la Yesu na kuomba tena ulinzi wake. Nikiwa karibu na kukifikia kituo cha kujazia mafuta nalisikia mlio mkubwa kwenye bonnet ya gari, lakini sikusimama kwani nalichelea usiku ulikuwa umeendelea. Nalipofika kituoni ndipo nalipogundua kwamba Bwana amenilinda kwani betri ya gari ilikuwa imetoka nafasi yake wakati nikiendesha.

Nalipokuwa nikilala usiku huo niliwaza sana kwanini mambo haya yalikuwa yakitokea kwangu. Sikudhani hata kidogo juu ya nguvu za giza na mashetani. Naliomba kidogo na kisha kujilaza. Usiku huo Mungu hakunieleza chochote kuhusu jambo hilo si kwa ndoto wala kwa neno.

Asubuhi yake nalishtuka kwa swali naliloulizwa na mmojawapo wa wafanyikazi wenzangu. Aliniuliza: Makko, uko salama? Nami nikamjibu Mary niko salama. Nikamuuliza; kwa nini kuniuliza hivyo? Ndipo naye akasema, usiku huo aliota ndoto, na katika ndoto hiyo aliona wale madereva wawili (majina kapuni) wakiwa wameketi kwenye gema pembezoni mwa barabara wakiliangalia gari lako ulilokuwa ukiendesha jana. Katika ndoto hiyo, naliona wameweka majoka mawili makubwa, moja upande wa mbele kukatiza tairi za mbele na jingine nyuma ya gari lako vivyohivyo. Nao walisemazana wenyewe kwa wenyewe: “Ngoja tuone atavyo endesha hilo gari hapo!!”

Akaendelea: Lakini katika ndoto hiyo, nalikuona ukiliua joka la mbele. Na ulilipiga joka lile la nyuma lakini halikufa kabisa. Mary akamaliza kusimulia ndoto yake.

Mara zote huwa sizidharau ndoto kwani Mungu amekuwa akisema nami mara nyingi kwa njia hiyo. Nilirejea chumbani mwangu na kumshukuru Mungu kwa kunifunulia siri hiyo ya nguvu za giza katika ulimwengu wa roho. Kitu ninachojilaumu ni kwamba sikuomba sana juu ya jambo hilo japo niliambiwa kwamba joka moja halikufa bali lilijeruhiwa tu. Siku hiyo nalikuwa nikiendelea na safari kwa kutumia gari ileile nikielekea Kabundabunda, Mjini Kabula. Ghafla mojawapo ya spring za mbele ikakatika vipande viwili. Gari hili lilikuwa imara na kwa tukio hilo nikatambua kwamba sasa ninapambana na nguvu za giza za uchawi kwa mara nyingine tena.

Nikijua kwamba yuko mtu nyuma ya mambo haya na ambaye angependa nife, nilikasirika na kuamua kuchukua Biblia yangu (NIV version). Nikawaambia abiria wawili waliokuwamo garini, Fred na Mary, mmeziona nguvu za Shetani, sasa ni zamu ya nguvu za Mungu kuonekana. Sifahamu naliyatoa wapi maneno hayo. Nalijikuta nikitamka: “ Ndani ya siku nne, vitu hivihivi ambavyo adui zangu wanatamani vinipate vitawapata wao, kwani imeandikwa “… If a man digs a pit, he will fall into it; if a man rolls a stone, it will roll back on him..” Mithali 26:27.
Baada ya kusema hivyo, sikutambua kwamba Mungu aliyachukulia makini maneno hayo.

Nikiwa nimelala usiku huo, Mungu alinionesha mafunuo ya ajabu. Na tazama, joka kubwa likikimbia toka kwenye gari naliyokuwa nikiiendesha na kuingia kwenye gari ya adui zangu. Siku iliyofuatia wakati hao ndugu walipokuwa wakiendesha gari lao, walihusika katika ajali mbaya ambayo iligharimu uhai wao. Hiyo ilikuwa ni siku ya nne baada ya kuwa nimenena maneno yale ya kwenye biblia. Fred na Mary walipoliona gari la wale ndugu lilivyoharibika waliyakumbuka maneno yangu. Nao wakasema kama Farao alivyosema: Hakika Mungu ni Mungu mwenye nguvu!!
Mungu awabariki na kuwaongezea imani wote waliaminio jina la mwanae mpendwa Yesu Kristo!

There are cycles in life when things go well, then
they go bad, then I bring about victories and they go
well again. You must hold on to Me, seek Me, and follow
Me through each phase of life's cycles.


When you're faced with obstacles, tests and hardships,
don't let them discourage you. Don't be downcast or
worry that they will not be solved, or that victories
will not be won; for I say to you, they will, because
they are part of the cycle. But you must go through
this portion of the cycle to come out at the other end
with victory.


That's the purpose of the cycle: that when the
problems and the difficulties arise, you rise up to meet them
in faith. You fight and you win, and that brings
forth the next portion of the cycle: the victory, the
progress, the forward movement. Then you are faced with
new challenges, new fights and new tests, and you must
once again fight, take up the challenge, seek Me, and
cry out to Me, that you may overcome these tests and
difficulties, and that you may then move out of that
portion of the cycle, and again on to the victory.


Like a wheel, the top goes down to the bottom and
comes up to the top again. That is motion, and that moves
the vehicle forward. That's what these cycles do--they
move you forward.


So you must take up the challenges, you must seek Me,
and you must win the victories, so that the cycle can
be ever turning, ever revolving, ever moving
forward--so that you will constantly be moving forward,
growing, going on, ever upward, ever forward and on to
victory!

Muhammad for who? Arabs only!!!!

Shalom everybody!

Dear readers, before I proceed I would like to give you this example which took place in India:
A person came to India when the British ruled it.
This person said, "I am a special representative of the Queen, sent to deliver this message to the people of India. I have been given this message in Hindi so that you can understand it".
Some other day he stands in the downtown of the Indian capital and delivers a speech and says "O people I have been sent as a special messenger from the Queen to you all".

We understand that "O people" and "you all" here means only the people of India although the words are general but they give a restricted meaning because that person has clearly mentioned his scope earlier.

After you have read this article I believe you will agree with me that it is very clear that Muhammad claimed to be a Warner only for Arabia and to have received a revelation for them in Arabic so that they can understand it.

I have tried to read here and there from the Quran also contacting some of my friends both muslims and christians, Sheikhs and pastors before I came out with this little article. I however still need to know more of it and whoever with negative comments upon this article should come out with concrete evidence from either the bible, quran itself or any scholarly literature. I discourage mere words!!

Why Muhammad was meant for Arabic only!!??

Following are my reasons supported by Quranic verses whose translation is in bold:
1) "(Mohammed) You are only a Warner and for every nation there is a guide." (13:7)

The principle given by the Quran here proves that as per his own standards Mohammed can only be a guide for his nation i.e. Arabs.

2) "And we have sent no messenger but with the language of his people, that he might make (the message) clear for them." (14:4)

This principle also proves that as per his own standards Mohammed can only be a guide for Arabic speaking people.

3) "He is (Allah) who has raised among the unlettered people a messenger from among themselves" (62:2)
So Mohammed claims only to be a prophet for "Umeen" the unlettered people of Arabia.
"Umeen" could also mean people of Makkah (Ijaz-ul-Quran wa Ikhtilaf-e-Qirat, pp 398 -410) .

4) "And this (Quran) is a blessed book which we have revealed, confirming that which was (revealed) before it, so that you (O prophet) may warn the mother of the cities (Makkah) and those around her." (6:92)
"And thus we have revealed to you an Arabic Quran, so that you may warn the mother of the cities (Makkah) and those around her." (42:7)

The above verses clearly show that Mohammed claims to have received a revelation in Arabic to warn people of Makkah and those living close to it, of course the Arabic speaking people.

5) "Then we gave Moses the book, complete for him who would do good, an explanation of all things, a guidance and a mercy, so that they might believe in the meeting with their Lord." (6:154)

"And this (Quran) is a blessed book which we have revealed, so follow it and fear Allah that you may receive mercy." (6:155)

"Lest you (pagan Arabs) should say: The book was sent down to the two sects before us (the Jews and the Christians) and for our part we were in fact unaware of what they studied (because that book was in a different language)." (6:156)

These verses claim that the book given to Moses was complete. The Quran was revealed because the book of Moses was in a language foreign to the Arabs and they could have made this as an excuse for not following the book of Moses.

6) "Verily, We made it a Quran in Arabic so that you may be able to understand" (43:3)

This verse is clear enough to prove that Quran is in Arabic so that Arabs can understand it.
To say that this book is for non Arabic speaking people is as ridiculous as telling a Tanzanian person, "I have written this book in Chinese so that you can understand."

I know of some literatures that muslim scholars use to claim universality for Mohammed's Prophethood and the Quran. But all of them do not direct indicate that he was meant for the whole world.

Beware of using the word "Aalameen" mentioned in several verses in Quran as was meant for all people! NOT AT ALL!! I have enough literatures to support my argument, am just conscious of space.

I insist: HOJA HUJIBIWA KWA HOJA.

WAS JESUS MEANT FOR JEWS (Israelites) ONLY??

Shalom!
Beacuse of my best friend Mohamed Abdulrahaman from UK and our best readers I have decided to post this article about the Claim that Some Muslims (like my best friend) contend that Jesus' ministry was only for the Children of Israel and not for all mankind, as we Christians believe.
On the basis of this argument, they attempt to persuade Christians to become followers of Muhammad, since they claim he alone was a universal prophet for all people for all time. To support their claim, these Muslims have been citing the following verses from the New Testament:

These twelve (disciples) Jesus sent out with the following instructions: "Do not go among the Gentiles or enter any town of the Samaritans. Go rather to the lost sheep of Israel." Matthew 10:5-6

He (Jesus) answered, "I was sent only to the lost sheep of Israel." Matthew 15:24

It is important to realize first of all that Jesus was born of the lineage of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. He was the fulfillment of the promise that God had made to Abraham many centuries earlier. Because of obedience and submission to God's will, God's promise to Abraham was two-fold.
First, God promised to bless his lineage, namely Isaac, Jacob (Israel), and the Children (descendants) of Israel. Secondly, God promised that from this lineage of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob would rise up a blessing for all nations, meaning all mankind. (see Acts 3:25-26 and Galatians 3:8,14). In this promise to Abraham, both the descendants of Israel, and the Gentiles (all non-Israelites) were to be blessed. This was confirmed many centuries later when Jesus was born. When the baby Jesus was taken to the temple for dedication, a devout elderly man who had been praying there was moved upon by the Spirit of God. He took the child in his arms and proclaimed these words in prayer to God:
For my eyes have seen Your salvation, which You have prepared in the sight of all people, a light (1) for revelation to the Gentiles, and (2) for glory to Your people Israel. Luke 2:30-32

From the passage above, we understand Jesus' ministry to be likewise two-fold. First of all, because he was born of the Children of Israel, his first mission was to reveal himself and God to the Israelites. They were God's chosen people -- the descendants of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. Even the Qur'an bears witness to this distinction:
And commemorate Our servants Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, possessors of power and vision. Verily, We did choose them for a special (purpose) -- proclaiming the message of the hereafter. Surat-us Sad (38):45-46

Children of Israel, call to mind the (special) favour which I bestowed upon you, and that I preferred you to all others (for My message). Surat-ul Baqara (2):47

Unfortunately, over the course of time, the Children of Israel had grown hardened and indifferent to the things of God. As a result, it was necessary for Jesus to minister personally among them with signs and wonders in order to confirm to them that he was the long-awaited Messiah, the Blessed One, the Anointed One whom God had sent to redeem His chosen people.
For this reason during his personal ministry, Jesus instructed his disciples to go only to the Children of Israel. They were to hear the message first. This was to be their privilege because they were the people of God's covenant, the promise of blessing.
Following the death and resurrection of Jesus, one of his disciples addressed the Israelites as follows:
And you are heirs of the prophets and of the covenant God made with your fathers. He said to Abraham, "Through your offspring (descendants), all people on earth will be blessed." When God raised his servant (Jesus the Messiah), He sent him first to you to bless you by turning each of you from your wicked ways.Acts 3:25-26

It is important to realize that the second part of Jesus' mission was most significant. That mission was to give his life a ransom for the sins of all mankind (1 Timothy 2:4-6). This was the blessing that was for all nations -- the good news that Jesus, by the shed blood of his suffering on the cross, paid the penalty for the sins of mankind, and that whoever accepts this blessing of salvation is assured eternal life with God!

This is what is written: The Christ (Al-Masih) will suffer and rise from the dead on the third day, and repentance and forgiveness of sins will be preached in his name to all nations, beginning at Jerusalem. Luke 24:46-47

The Scriptures are clear that this salvation in Jesus the Messiah is available for all people, both Jews and Gentiles of all nations. Remember, during Jesus' earthly and personal ministry he instructed his disciples to go only to the Israelites. But after the second part of his mission was completed (his atoning death on the cross), notice what he then instructed his disciples:

You will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea, and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth. Acts 1:8

... go and make disciples of all nations (all people). Matthew 28:19

Jesus himself confirmed the universal nature of his mission when he declared these words:

I am the Light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life. John 8:12

Again Jesus is referring to himself as that special blessing or revelation of mercy for all people, for all mankind.
The Qur'an likewise points to the universal mission of Jesus. God Himself is quoted as saying:
... and (We wish) to appoint him (Jesus) as a Sign unto men ("ayat-al linnasi"), and a mercy from Us. Surat-u Maryam (19):21

Notice, it does not say, "a sign only to the Israelites" as some Muslims would have us believe. In fact the Arabic indicates a "sign to mankind!"

Obama's Pastor: God Damn America, U.S. to Blame for 9/11

Sen. Barack Obama's pastor says blacks should not sing "God Bless America" but "God damn America."
The Rev. Jeremiah Wright has made a number of controversial statements.
The Rev. Jeremiah Wright, Obama's pastor for the last 20 years at the Trinity United Church of Christ on Chicago's south side, has a long history of what even Obama's campaign aides concede is "inflammatory rhetoric," including the assertion that the United States brought on the 9/11 attacks with its own "terrorism."
In a campaign appearance earlier this month, Sen. Obama said, "I don't think my church is actually particularly controversial." He said Rev. Wright "is like an old uncle who says things I don't always agree with," telling a Jewish group that everyone has someone like that in their family.
Rev. Wright married Obama and his wife Michelle, baptized their two daughters and is credited by Obama for the title of his book, "The Audacity of Hope."
An ABC News review of dozens of Rev. Wright's sermons, offered for sale by the church, found repeated denunciations of the U.S. based on what he described as his reading of the Gospels and the treatment of black Americans.
"The government gives them the drugs, builds bigger prisons, passes a three-strike law and then wants us to sing 'God Bless America.' No, no, no, God damn America, that's in the Bible for killing innocent people," he said in a 2003 sermon. "God damn America for treating our citizens as less than human. God damn America for as long as she acts like she is God and she is supreme."
In addition to damning America, he told his congregation on the Sunday after Sept. 11, 2001 that the United States had brought on al Qaeda's attacks because of its own terrorism.
"We bombed Hiroshima, we bombed Nagasaki, and we nuked far more than the thousands in New York and the Pentagon, and we never batted an eye," Rev. Wright said in a sermon on Sept. 16, 2001.
"We have supported state terrorism against the Palestinians and black South Africans, and now we are indignant because the stuff we have done overseas is now brought right back to our own front yards. America's chickens are coming home to roost," he told his congregation.
Sen. Obama told the New York Times he was not at the church on the day of Rev. Wright's 9/11 sermon. "The violence of 9/11 was inexcusable and without justification," Obama said in a recent interview. "It sounds like he was trying to be provocative," Obama told the paper.
Rev. Wright, who announced his retirement last month, has built a large and loyal following at his church with his mesmerizing sermons, mixing traditional spiritual content and his views on contemporary issues.
"I wouldn't call it radical. I call it being black in America," said one congregation member outside the church last Sunday.
"He has impacted the life of Barack Obama so much so that he wants to portray that feeling he got from Rev. Wright onto the country because we all need something positive," said another member of the congregation.
Rev. Wright, who declined to be interviewed by ABC News, is considered one of the country's 10 most influential black pastors, according to members of the Obama campaign.
Obama has praised at least one aspect of Rev. Wright's approach, referring to his "social gospel" and his focus on Africa, "and I agree with him on that."
Sen. Obama declined to comment on Rev. Wright's denunciations of the United States, but a campaign religious adviser, Shaun Casey, appearing on "Good Morning America" Thursday, said Obama "had repudiated" those comments.
In a statement to ABCNews.com, Obama's press spokesman Bill Burton said, "Sen. Obama has said repeatedly that personal attacks such as this have no place in this campaign or our politics, whether they're offered from a platform at a rally or the pulpit of a church. Sen. Obama does not think of the pastor of his church in political terms. Like a member of his family, there are things he says with which Sen. Obama deeply disagrees. But now that he is retired, that doesn't detract from Sen. Obama's affection for Rev. Wright or his appreciation for the good works he has done."

It's Not Forever That Loved Ones Will Be Gone!

Death is a sad parting, even for Christians. It's a sad parting for those of us who are left behind, & in a way it's even sad for those who go on, to have to leave us behind for a little while. But thank God, our sorrow is not as those who have no hope, for we know we're going to be reunited again soon! We may have to be apart for a little while, away from each other a little, but we'll appreciate each other even more than ever when we're joined together again, when we're reunited again in that great wonderful marvelous reunion in Heaven!--What a day of rejoicing that will be!

"Death doth hide, but not divide! Thou art but on Christ's other side. Thou art with Christ, & Christ with me, in Him united still are we!"--Our dear ones are with the Lord, & if we keep near to Him, we cannot be far from them! "Does Jesus care when I've said good-bye, To the dearest on Earth to me? When my sad heart aches, till it nearly breaks, Is it aught to Him? Does He see? Oh, yes, He cares, I know He cares, His heart is touched with my grief; Though the days be weary, the long nights dreary, I know my Savior cares!"
